Support Protecting Actors
CASTING SERVICES
Protecting Actors already works with many of the leading UK casting sites, but we're always keen to expand our reach and support. So if you publish casting breakdowns, work with employers to cast actors or simply provide services to actors then we would love to
hear from you.
There are no charges for joining Protecting Actors and we'll provide you with comprehensive information on blacklisted production companies, employers and casting directors.
ACTORS
Whilst we're a new initiative we're keen to get more people involved in this scheme and the more support we have from actors the more effective a force we can become in the industry. You can help protect actors rights in the following ways:
- a) Look for the shield:
If a casting doesn't display the shield, the company aren't promising to provide a DVD copy of the final film in a reasonable time frame under the Protecting Actors Casting Agreement. So if you don't see the shield, think really hard before applying. If you know the company, please lobby them to signup to the Protecting Actors Casting Agreement - it only takes companies a few seconds and ultimately helps us protect you from abuse and exploitation.
- b) Spread the word:
If you have just learnt about us, ths chances our your colleagues don't know about us either. Please take 2 minutes to spread this website to any other actors, groups, casting services or organisations you know who might be interested in protecting actors. The more people who know about the service the more effective we can become.
ORGANISATIONS & INDUSTRY BODIES
We would be interested in hearing from any and all organisations working with actors, production companies and casting directors. We're keen to spread our casting agreement and associated blacklist as far as possible to ensure companies can't continue to exploit actors. We're happy to provide links, editorial and content for any organisation helping us reach more eyeballs, so please
get in contact
Important Note: Known Scammers
Protecting Actors has just learnt that WildKard Talent and Modeldash (one and the same website) are attempting to scam actors into parting with money to access fictional casting information. We urge all actors to stay clear of these rogues.
